THE PLIGHT OF THE BURMESE PEOPLE
As if the Burmese people hadn't enough to contend with by being brutally ruled by a Junta of military criminals, they now have to contend with one of the worst natural disasters ever to occur in the region. With a bit of luck this will spell the end of the general's rule as it appears that they don't have the resources to deal with the disaster. Hopefully, the world's aid agencies will get in there as quickly as possibe and do what they can to alleviate the suffering on the ground.

The subject of Peak Oil is introduced to those that haven't heard of it. An excellent website to visit for loads of pobcasts on energy and market is Jim Puplava's "Financial Sense Online".Finally, I show that Ron Paul understands the connection between sound money (gold-backed) and our impending Oil Crisis from an interview featured on website "321 Gold".

Well, the only problem with your hypothesis is that the "ruling clsss" would suffer as well in a Capitalist Society where the Middle Class is destroyed....The money of the ruling class has to be spent on something, it's not just buried in the backyard (earned and buried)! And for the ruling class, falling out of Capitalism is a lower form of Society, hence they suffer "Quality of Life" issues, as well. We are simply over-populated for the amount of natural resources. Oil has Peaked! EOF!

Were running out of oil. Were running out of natural gas. Were running out of corn. Were running out of food and water. Liars. It is price manipulation. The only thing that is running out is money in the middle class thanks to the greedy assholes.

When a large world power invades a sovereign country in order to control the flow of oil, well, that's the sort of storyline that normally brings hundreds of thousands of protesters to the streets chanting "No Blood for Oil."But will we be seeying the masses of the world rise up and condemn Russia for its naked aggression against its smaller neighbor, Georgia? I'll be waiting, but I won't be holding my breath.

Learn about EROI and then check your facts about real energy reserves.

See video by Lindsey Williams "The Non-Energy Crisis". (See the book too)1 Alaska has a 200 year supply of Oil.2 Oil companies knew this before 1980.3 Larger Oil Fields are in Colorado and S.D.4 Alaskan Oil was hit 45,000+ feet.5 Bio-matter stops at 18,000 feet.6 How can Oil go through 25,000+ feet of rock?7 Experts now say Oil is a renewable resource coming from the Lava Core of the earth.Should a government trying to protect us seek imminent domain over the oil reserves?

There are 3 times the reserves of Saudi Arabia in American Oil shale. This is a KNOWN fact. Its very irresponsible for everyone to keep crapping his or her pants. Yes, we need to get off oil, but in the mean time, there is known to be A HELL OF A LOT on our own soil. Yes, it will take time to set up the extraction infrastructure - but we need to do it, and while we are using this oil, keep developing other energy sources. I hope wind power gets big

almost a year since I posted this video, and today IRAN fired some test missles to send message to the WEST and in defiance of HJR 362. Yes....looks a great time to drop some special presents in this world ("the horror").

America isn't it time for a war. That will solve everything for you. Demand will go down after you drop a few nuclear weapons all your problems will be solved
Granite46 (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
Funkyfresh, you are more right than wrong. US strategy is to assure secure access to "cheap" oil at almost any cost. The military is the primary tool of that policy. And with the libs in US refusing us access to domestic resources, we send our soldiers, saliors and airmen to hostile places overseas.
funkyfreshpnoy (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
Maybe long term US strategy is simply to dominate oil producing countries militarily, at any cost, while consuming world supply as fast as possible, so that the world's reserves will be exhausted before any oil rich country, say Russia, for example, gets the chance to make a bid for world domination. Only when the oil is gone would they convert to alternative fuels. A high risk strategy, a race against time, but it would make sense out what otherwise seems a totally irrational energy policy.
