I think you need more time than that, I've played for 35yrs and still have problems with it. If you have the opportunity I'd suggest you attend some class in fingerpicking, at least that helped me a lot.

Can anyone play this song? I have been playing guitar for more than a year and I still find this song very hard to play. The fingerpicking is just extremely rapid.

In my opinion, this is Dylan's best song. I wish a Band like the EAGLES would do a version with the full musical accompaniment.

"he is a hopeless pessimist who has lost hope in their love"My only disagreement with your interpretation is that he is not a hopeless pessimist but rather a realist that is dealing with the reality that she's done with him and this is his comeback. You never got left and said, "FU bitch"?

Dump her. What? Does she want Enrique Iglaseis singing this/his song?

I just had a half hour argument with some girl who insisted that Bob Dylan was a 'bad' artist with mediocre music writing ability.Unbelievable. And I agree about his voice: Its unique and fits well with his music. Its not a traditionally good voice, no, but it marks him apart. Kind of like how most models aren't traditionally attractive, but rather have unique features.

I hear ya, Bob Dylan is a great musician and also has great philosophy about life.
