Yea I did that & everything from now is going to my external but the HD on the Mac itself is still full. I think there is still a copy of my itunes & library on it. Should I just delete it since my external HD has it on there?

I set up itunes to go to my external hard drive to free up my iMacs HD space. My iMacs hard drive is still full? Now I can open itunes by clicking the original icon in the dock or by opening my external storage icon & clicking icon for itunes in there. When I do the latter then a second itunes icon opens on my dock? Should I attempt to delete the entire itunes program from my imacs hard drive since there is the itunes in the external storage? I hope you can assist me with this. ThxThanks

You can change the path iTunes uses for its library. Go to Edit -> Preferences, click the Advanced tab, and then lick the Change button for the iTunes Music Folder location. Set the appropriate path, and then OK out of everything.
