quote from Chris Matthews in this very clip AFTER he said: "Can you name ANYTHING that he's accomplished as a congressman?" and Obama's OWN Campaign rep said "no, I'm not going to be able to do it tonight". THIS IS A MAN WHO IS PAID TO MAKE OBAMA LOOK GOOD AND HE COULDN'T EVEN LIST ANY ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS A CONGRESSMAN???? We're in trouble if this man becomes president because people are star struck. It's a very dangerous way to elect a leader and don't compare to JFK, he was VERY different.

OBAMA will NOT be president for 3 reasons: 1.He was born a Muslim.....2.He has NO experience(2 years in the senate)....3.Reverend Wright(GODDAMN AMERICA) hate speech that nobody will ever forgetThats all you need to know about OSAMA OBAMA

I'm not going to be pissy. I'm not liberal. Thank you for being a civil human with manners in terms of discussion. I don't blame you for being weary about the possibility of personal attacks on youtube.

As for whether he demands more money or not, that isn't what I am addressing. What I am addressing is wasteful spending. If I spent an extra dollar in my paycheck to help somebody survive cancer, that is not wasteful spending. If I spent an extra dollar in my paycheck to support a corporation that overcharges the government, that is wasteful spending.

I agree that nobody brings anything to the "table in regards to legislation" considering I explained the functions of the Senate that wouldn't contradict that notion. I agree that it would of been proper to demand a list of accomplishments, but that wasn't what happened. I agree that televised politics is all rhetoric and not an in depth look into issues.

I'm not an Obama supporter. What are argument are you talking about? Be more precise. Thanks.
FatherTomasino (August 29, 2008 at 3:30 am)
Weak argument. I'm from Illinois and I can tell you that Obama has brought nothing to the table in regards to legislation. He certainly showed up to vote down tax cuts. That's right. He wants more money from the workers. Matthews was proper to demand a list of accomplishments. All Obama can do is give a good speech and look good. I'll give him that. But I want my president to be a man of substance not just a smoothe talker. You can be all pissy now and call names like liberals are prone to do.

I am surprised by the stupidity of both Chris Matthews and Kirk Watson. He should of been more specific with the question. Senators don't simply accomplish through legislation. They propose bills and mostly vote on them, so therefore they don't accomplish anything on an individual basis. If he asked him what he accomplished as a civil rights lawyer, bills he proposed, or bills he voted on, it would of made more sense.

So you don't like the idea of helping your fellow Americans who need health care with taxes you pay anyways. How do you feel about your tax dollars going to corporations such as Halliburton that profit twice as much than they should from tax dollars for the Iraq War?

this is great. almost 2 million people have seen this! Barry (that's his "real" name by the way) will not win..once they debate and the fringe/independant/undecided people see where he stands on taxes (you make over 101k you are rich according to Obabma), socializing medicine (I don't want to pay for other peoples doctor bill do you?), and his generally flaming liberal decisions = he will start to slide in the polls and not end up winning. McCain is clearly the better choice here. |
