THE PLIGHT OF THE BURMESE PEOPLE
As if the Burmese people hadn't enough to contend with by being brutally ruled by a Junta of military criminals, they now have to contend with one of the worst natural disasters ever to occur in the region. With a bit of luck this will spell the end of the general's rule as it appears that they don't have the resources to deal with the disaster. Hopefully, the world's aid agencies will get in there as quickly as possibe and do what they can to alleviate the suffering on the ground.

I know I messed up a lot in this form (and yes, I touched the floor when doing the butterfly kick), but hopefully I've improved based on my previous video.Note: This was filmed at American High School, but I'm not a student there.

I see what you mean now. Thanks for pointing out the specifics. Now I know exactly what I need to work on. =)

I know what you mean, I've seen the other video and this is slower. What I mean is overall speed should be one of the last things to aim for, also there are bits you do faster than you should at your current level of 'swordsmanship'. For example the jian hua, and thrusts. Jian hua should be as close to the body without touching and parallel to your body, yun jian should be parallel to the ground. and your thrusts have no control. If you do them slower it'll be easier for you to fix the problem

Thanks for your advice. I agree 100% about needing to polish this form as far as precision & accuracy, but I disagree on "doing it too fast" (if you have seen other people do this form before, you'll realize that I am actually running through it way too slow).I know in my previous straightsword video I was really sloppy and rushed through everything, but here, I purposely slowed down A LOT to emphasize on precision & accuracy.

you need to polish this form a lot. try practising every single move by itself first, all I'm seeing is you trying to do the form quickly but the moves are not clear. There is no intent in this. The qualities of jian is to be graceful, precise, smooth and fluid. try to reach that before trying to do it fast

if this was in an american high school then how the heck did you get a sword in?

Thank you! Based on what someone told me, this is a "Compulsory Jianshu/Straightsword" form.Lol, my hair is getting long. =P

Thanks. I'll work on it more.

HuoXing, I've seen you did this form for countless times. I've noticed some improvment with your balance in this video, however, you still need to work on your "yan shi" & "wang yue" balance. Your "wang yue" balance in this form is a bit sloppy. =P
