THE PLIGHT OF THE BURMESE PEOPLE
As if the Burmese people hadn't enough to contend with by being brutally ruled by a Junta of military criminals, they now have to contend with one of the worst natural disasters ever to occur in the region. With a bit of luck this will spell the end of the general's rule as it appears that they don't have the resources to deal with the disaster. Hopefully, the world's aid agencies will get in there as quickly as possibe and do what they can to alleviate the suffering on the ground.

The Catholic theologian Karl Rahner famously said "the Christian of tomorrow will be a mystic, or not a Christian at all." Few people have impacted Christianity in this regard as has Fr. Thomas Keating. A Cistercian monk from St. Benedict's Monastery in Snowmass, Colorado, Fr. Thomas has spent a lifetime in deep Christian practice, and in sharing the fruits of this contemplation with countless others. We were enormously blessed to host a dialogue with Fr. Thomas and Ken Wilber in April of 2006. In today's featured video, Ken presents some of the foundational concepts of Integral spirituality.

The question is only deeper or higher stage of consciousness can integrate relatively lower stage of consciousness. On contrary, lower consciouness hardly torelate diffrent perspective.especialy when low consciousness hold the systemtic power, they would not respect the freedom of varies perspectives.Almost all human suffering and human tragedy were caused by the conflict of defferent develop stage of consciousness.

We need more integral scientists, integral philosophers, integral pandits, and integral politicians and a way for these integral people as well in other occupations have a chance to contribute to development. (pandit is a scholar, a teacher, particularly one skilled in Sanskrit and Hindu law, religion, music or philosophy.)

This religion is being replaced or augmented by better re-ligion, a Latin word for reading, in this case, reading of the perceptions of the timeless and spaceless. The interpretation is key - a lot of destructive versions of this re ligion out there, unfortunately. We agree, it evolved, and evolves and will evolve, and it as a n entity is having trouble at being a uniformed entity and at the same time, a path of unification is at least theoretically possible: e.g. Integral Spirituality Center.

I love his stages of development and states of consciousness.

Spirituality is which in some way had been conditioned by religion. I know that the practice of contemplation prayer, helps to reach a different "stage of mind" concerning to everything surrounding us...Living in a more councious, perceptive and sensitive spiritual life. And from there a continous learning facing life. Posibly that is why a lot of people that had a very strong spiritual experiences with God are against an "organized religion"...Just an opinion.

I assume you mean *monotheistic* religion. And of course you are quite correct. It HAS to die, because it's silly. Future generations will laugh at the primitive deity-based religions.optik
