THE PLIGHT OF THE BURMESE PEOPLE
As if the Burmese people hadn't enough to contend with by being brutally ruled by a Junta of military criminals, they now have to contend with one of the worst natural disasters ever to occur in the region. With a bit of luck this will spell the end of the general's rule as it appears that they don't have the resources to deal with the disaster. Hopefully, the world's aid agencies will get in there as quickly as possibe and do what they can to alleviate the suffering on the ground.

Thats really cool! how much weight can the carriage hold before it sinks to the track?

Too cool!

That's true, but that MagLev (and all other existing maglevs) works on an other principle: electromagnets in the tracks and in the train, so that has nothing to do with superconductors. This system, as it is explained, does not require any electrical power whatsoever.Listen to the explanation again, then you might understand...

You mean like a MagLev?

imagine a way to start the train without straight hand contacti dont know, i think i'd use some jet motors or something like astronauts use to move in space, some compressed air to make it move, and the same with the brakes, just in the opposite directionit's so awesome, no friction = great inertia :)

Check out my beginning model train layout (video) and update video.

I think that the train should be superconducting not the track. It wouldn't be economical to keep a hole track below 183 Celsius besides these materials can be rather costy to use them as track.
