the ugly blacks always kill the prettier blacks the ones with the nicer smile and features are mostly sluttered. so it is true that evil looks evil also

they did and they were part of the military force fighting...but there is only so much men can do surprised without weapons...this was not warit was cousins killing your wife..it was "good" neighbors raping your daughter, and "friends" killing your son...there is only so much one can do in such madness and chaos

They did, that is how the genocide ended. The Tutsi rebel forces eventually defeated the Interahamwe and Rwandan forces, pushing them across the border into Congo. The situation is still far from resolved today.

Okay, maybe I wasn't paying close attention but how did the story go from genocide to protecting gorillas?EscoNetwork

I never like to comment on such a sensitive issue since almost everybody has an opinion on how things were or went on. This all comes to the individual community. UN is not mandated to use force, they are allowed to protect themselves but rarelly do they stay in the middle, and here is why, If UN had side Tusti's, Hutus will complain and vice versa, another big problem was the Hutu extremist, they had no uniform, and didn't follow rank file. Anyway, I feel Tutsi men should have stood up,

Watch Shake Hands with the Devil, its a canadian made movie...very excellent. It shows also that "high influence" rwandans were taken out of the country. Also all of the whites "les blancs" True that a third party cannot possible stop all the killing, but they did not allow for refuge for the Tutsies...they could have had areas protected by the UN (such as the Hotel)

actually the UN did when belgium/french troops left rwanda. Canadian troops commanded by lieutenant general Romeo Delaire and other light armed troops from 3rd world contries were there but they were very lightly armed and didnt engage in much combat because it was only a peacekeeping mission by the UN. |
