If you had quoted actual data I wouldn't have a problem with that at all. You didn't quote it. Similarly, if you would like to quote the Hadley Centre you are more than welcome to do so. But don't steal other people's work and pass it off as your own.

Sydneydoc, please see my policy on plagiarism, in the channel description. If you want to quote something, please put it in quotes and credit the source. Don't copy someone else's work and pretend it's your own. These are common rules of courtesy, fairness and transparency. Thanks.

Science needs to be explained and understood by the layman. Otherwise science will be endangered by superstition when the uneducated and ignorant recoil in fear of what is appears magical. It is truly sad when there are people who drive cars, watch television, fly in jet aircraft and are sustained by modern medecine, yet lack any curiosity about how humans developed these wonders and still cling to primitive fantasies about burning bushes, multiplying loaves and crucified redeemers.

Right now Africa is collinding into Europe, pushing up the Alps (I was in Crete a while bank and found ancient beaches raised up out of the sea.) India has collided with Asia, forming the Himalayas. Why the plates are where they are is still unknown, I believe.

I'm looking for the catalyst.Why exactly merge together, when you can go anywhere?Does the magma layer connect them?The Pacific Ocean still covers one entire side of the globe.Why is the magma skating field forming exclusively on one side? |
