i have to say this after reading the description.. there actually were secret WWII plans to build boats out of ice, it was a special ice that didn't melt and the plans would of gone ahead if the war hadn't of ended

Wouldn't the strength of metal against that of ice also be dependent on the mass of the ship compared to the mass of the ice, not just the hardness of the two substances?

Reading Youtube comments makes me consider ending my own life, for growing old in a world full of the children of people who actually try to debunk a "scale model test" done with a toy and ice cubes, or who share their wikipedia knowledge of chemistry and properties of matter to prove that ice can in some cases be harder than metal, would be a living hell. In 2007, Dick Cheney and George Bush went back in time push the ice berg in the titanics way. The ship at the bottom of the ocean isn't the titanic, it's the sister ship. The real titanic was later sold for scrap and was used to build the twin towers so they could do it again in 2001. 400,000 years ago, Dick Cheney and George W. caused the first ice age to go away by building coal fired power plants for no reason with halliburton labor. Why would I make this up?
