Nice to see some Phil up in here. I loved his work with Curtis Mayfield. I think the first cut is a Miles Davis joint... but the name escapes me.

I ain't so sure about "I'm Every Woman." That sounds a LOT more like Anthony Jackson (using a pick), but I don't have a way of checking the credits at the moment. That aside, though, Upchurch is DEFINITELY a bad cat. When I first started trying to solo on guitar, I used his version of "You Can't Sit Down" as my template. |
