Unlike so many "stars," I always thought Ricky would be a real geniune down-to-earth person. How cool that you could meet him! I love his music too and I think he's one of the most underrated string players in all of music.

Whew! What a show - wow, the great singing by Ricky, the musicians, and the dancing are awesome. I had to get up and dance to this myself - couldn't keep up with them of course. Cotton Eyed Joe is practically a standard here at Renfro Valley each weekend and when the square dancers show up it's terrific. I do love the Chieftans - first heard and saw them in a video with Martina McBride's singing "I'll Be All Smiles Tonight". Super talented band. Thanks for posting-it made my day - Paula

I have never met a celebrity as open and friendly as Ricky Skaggs (Nashville 1996). I loved his music before that but since meeting him, I'm a fan for life!! This guy is one of nature's gentlemen and a brilliant performer!!

The dancers at the end are Jon and Nathan Pilatzke.You're right, Jon is also a fiddler.If you like them, you should check out videos of their other bands: Quagmyre, Tread, and the Stepcrew!
