Barney still owes me a couple of pints. I met him him on the ferry from Cherbourg to Rosslare in the late 70s. He was on his way home and had no money left, so I bought him a few Guinnesses in the ferry´s lounge. He said I should meet him in Dublin, and he would buy me a pint back. On the pier in Rosslare, he headed for the Dublin road to get a lift. Unfortunately, I had to travel to Cork where he had no intention of going, so we parted. Greatest banjo player ever.
