I don't think anyone was talking bad about America here. I am English and I do worry that America has had too much of an influence on bellydance worldwide.

Just as long as people respect the culture and understand where it came from. I still prefer traditional but tribal is okay.

The point I think is trying to be made is that it's a traditional dance that is a part of the culture and that people should respect that. The are a lot of countries who want people to respect their culture,including dances. So it would help if people learned which countries the dance came from and if they respected the countries.
