According to wikipedia, it was staged. It was designed as a commentary on the rediculousness that a lot of raiding guilds go through on these runs. Further, anyone who has run this dungeon knows that the whelps will not leave the room they are in and would have left Leeroy to die on his own.So based on that, it was either A: staged or B: run by huge noobs despite the meticulous planning and talks about how many times they've tried it in the past.
