Amen . . . it seems everyone wants to re-make the old classics. The people that created these, were creative people ---I say, we should learn how to be as creativeas they were . . . not stand on their shoulders and duplicate what they did.

I disagree . . . you'd need a jazz singerof Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, CarmenMcRae, Nancy Wilson, Ethel Ennis type . . . and whoever produced it probably [sadly] wouldn't do it in a jazz style --- personally, I hope it's never redone. The original Rankin-Bass Production is a 'Mona Lisa' in and of itself.

I saw this movie as a kid.. This movie is perfect for a CGI re working and keeping the all the elements of the story. The song could be sung by Amy Winehouse This singer is right up there with Nina Simone, Shirly Bassey...
