why does everyone have to say how much they prefer x over y? andy and preston are two fucking different people with two different views on music. I bet preston and andy are good friends. Talent attracts talent.

theres no point comparing the two as none of us would know who Andy Mckee was if it wasn't for Preston Reed

His direct tone with this setup definately sounds better than the Adamas when you only hear the pickups but when you see Preston live in an intimate setting his Adamas sounds fantastic. I saw him live in November last year and his sound was fantastic, really surprised me.

Thanks for the info... kind of looks like an EA20SDL now that you mention it. I like the sound of it better than his Adamas here on you tube. I'd be curious to hear both live to compare.

Hey man,He is using a Washburn of some kind and has fitted it with a Seymour Duncan SA1 and an SA2 pickup as well.

Only in exposure and catchiness. Check out tunes like Rainmaker for sheer madness, Blasting cap for a speedy and fun tune, or Tractor Pull.At least where it comes to playing bonkers guitar Preston is a master, he plays in a more groove orientated than melodic way a lot of the time but he is still amazing. |
