what a race,what a pace,what a race!!!Dessie was nothing but lonely long distance runner,but he had done it so well and the result is so beautifull wins!an amazing horse!!!!!!!

I think Dessie would have gone one of two ways in the Aintree National - won it by a mile or down at Beecher's after over-jumping. Anyway, Dessie's jump at the second last was poetry to any jumps fan.

I have been looking for this race of Dessie for YEARS !!! Thank u so so much for posting this !!! This has brought back so many nice memories for me. This race is right up there with Dessie's 4th win in the King George at Kempton.

For me Dessie winning this was just as big achivement as winning the 1989 Cheltenham Gold Cup.The fact that he brushed off the blunder at the last to still win was just typical of was this fanastic horse.Thanks for putting this on here. |
