I'm not saying it was deliberatly done yet Murtagh comes into the straight along the rail, with his whip on his right, the horse tends to run left, so he corrects it, puts it back on the rails, swithces to his left, then, for reasons best known to him, switches to his right and then after having left the rail, and AFTER having cut up TWO horses, he swithces back to his left. NOT the best riding to say the least.

Frozen Fire had a lot of forward momentum, Alessandro Volta took all the momentum of Tartan Bearer diaganolly so its going to lose a lot of ground which it did. I think English trainers need to get ruthless like O'Brien does and win at all costs if its going to end up in victory, Stoute can start by keeping all his Ballymacoll colts (Conduit, Tartan Bearer, Patkai) in the ledger and use tactics himself.

U can never compare races as being equal. De english derby clearly had de better horses all round. but to accuse o'brien of deliberately settin out to 'knoble' tartan bearer is ludicrous. As i said, horses r not cars. u cant just steer them anyway u want. Accusing o'brien of willfully putting horses lives at risk 2 deny an english win is quite honestly disgraceful.

what race are yous watching, the winner had to come across as well so if ballydoyle where trying to cheat they nearly got it wrong. no word of linda ramsden cheating of course shes english and that would never happen, with top cees. Then wins a chester vase at 33/1

It shows how bad in reality the race was, the Epsom Derby was much more the better, a race which was a race between two faantastic horses in New Approach and Tartan Bearer. This time Tartan Bearer was conned out of a near certain victory, I think O'Brien knew Tartan Bearer would stop racing with no horses near its view being a lazy horse, and ordered Murtagh to take it as wide as possible. Every time a horse tries to take it on it comptetes and catches the horse.

It's sad to see the bitterness. Anyway, Bashkirov ran a very creditable race didnt he? Not 2 far off at the end for a no-hoper. And i must say i was delighted to see Youmzain (in france) finally get his head in front in a big race.

One could almost say that justice reigned in Saint-Cloud, after seeing this farce.I would hope that whoever governs the Sport at this stage will finally find someone who is notafraid to stand up to this cheating.
