Minnesotaman, you were not far from danger!! That core was insane! I was in between Ham Lake and Andover at this time! It touched down in Coon Rapids, lifted around Blaine and came back down with intensity just east of 35! The vid I have of this warning(no tube) I was at about the east bethel theater! I had a decent view of the whole circulation, but not the tornado it self!

These High precip supercells are a bitch! They usually produce the worst damage and you can't see anything because the whole meso is rain wrapped! I was in Andover when this blew through Hugo. I also hate chasing close to the I-35 corridor. If this tracked across the highway, it would have been a death trap! My buddy was in Forest Lake and reported golfball hail accumulating on the road!

Always nice to step outside your door and hear those sirens! I hate fucking tornados, the spotters can have them, give me a good ol' fashion blizzard instead!

You know I've always thought it might be kind of cool to live through something like this - you know, be in the perspective you were. However, once I found out a little boy was killed and a little girl may have permanent brain damage from this storm - I'm starting to change my mind.

yeah, it was scary. I went down and saw the path of the tornado after the storm and it looked like a bomb went off...We were driving north about two to one miles and there was still debris on the side of the road...
