adamjlcooper that was one of the funniest ive read this week, the end was perfect i damn near pissed myself. i even stopped and paused at the periods in my head and (cant spell) enuciated. well it was funny in my head anyway, should've been there...i'd sound less crazy i swear

YES! Exactly... it's "jamming." It's NOT "Irish Folk Music." These are both dance tunes. If they played this set for dancers, they would kill the fiddle player. You have to keep time in this music, meaning YES, you're fingers do have to line up with the bow. Keeping time is most important.

I'm saying this video should not be called Irish Folk Music, because it's not. If they called it Jam Session, that would be more appropriate. It frustrates me when people think this is good Irish Music. It's not. In fact, the 2nd tune is actually Scottish. Watch Alasdair Fraser play it... that's how it should be played. Polished, connected, and not at warp speed.BTW, have had some of the same students for 5 or 6 years now! Don't slam me until you've actually come to my classes.
