There's nothing wrong with Craigtube style beer. Maybe all-grain or partial-grain brewing gets tastier results, but award-winning beers have been made using extracts.

And you're becoming a pain in my ass dude. When you actually know what you're talking about, come on back.

It's becoming a dare now to get someone to brew a "Craigtube" style beer.FYI - Don't do what Craig does.

As far as an infected batch...Generally, it won't make you ill, but it will make the beer nasty. This is not because of the alcohol, but the pH of the beer. That said, I did once have a commercial beer, or one good swig of one, that had an awful taste. I spent the next 12 hours dry heaving. So just be smart and clean everything very well. There's no reason not to, but at least an anecdotal reason you should.

nothing will happen until you add this stuff..hehhh that gave me a chuckle. You should just get an imemersion chiller and put together a closed system so you don't add chlorinated tap water. Ya know?

Thanks very much! This is the best guide around - very clear, simple and inspiring!

As far as I know I didn't, but some didn't taste as nice as others. I poured none down the drain. Maybe that's what I should have said.
