there is a video of bruce lee sparring, and he shows his ability and mastery to perfection, you will see when the other guy tries to attack bruce,, as he moves in for the hit bruce has already punched him in the face or kicked him in the head,, and thats bruce lee intrcepting the opponents attack with his own.. if you watch the sparring bruce never gets hit once... if it was a real street fight bruce would have knocked the guy out on the first interception.. bruce was a genius.

know cause in jeet kune do you dont sucker punch, sucker punching is against martial arts, martial arts teaches people disapline and respect... but its becomes a psychic knowledge of knowing when someone is going to attack, and once they think about it,, you are able to attack them first, and if the guy is fast then you eithr block or move out the way then attack, its not about hitting someone when they are not looking... and bruce lee had that gift thats what made him so good..

In jeet kune do there is no "only do this, or only do that" . For example, say you dont strike first, but rather, evade and counter. As soon as that counter lands you're not gonna wait for him to throw so you can counter again, youre gonna beat the shit outta him and not give him any chance to retaliate.

Yeah Like when you fight with swords against the Ronins in Saints row 2 you should only counter attack.

That´s cool that Kobe trains martial arts

you strike first if it's viable. Every attack creates an opening for your opponent to exploit so you might not necessarily always strike first. It might be better to evade and counter, or trap. But the most effective way to defend is to intercept the opponents attack with your own. |
