Fairfield Model Railway layout - Hobsons bay 2008

Fairfield is a replica of a Brisbane (Queensland Australia) suburban station on the Gold Coast line as it currently is today. What makes Fairfield unique is that interstate trains to Sydney also pass through Fairfield on the dual gauge line at the front of the layout. Most of the QR models have been produced by PGC scale models and Black Diamond models. The NSW locomotives and rollingstock are available through AR kits, Austrains and Trainorama. Geoff McMahon (Buildings) and Ian Fainges (back scene painting) assisted in presenting Fairfield for your enjoyment. Fairfield was operated by Phil Hadley & Glenn Wright at the Hobsons Bay (Collingwood) 2008 model railway exhibition. I have added authentic train sounds for your viewing pleasure.

The "real" train sounds weren't part of the layout as displayed, I've added them seperately for the youtube movie.

oops, I meant about 3.08 to 3.25 for the compressor sound..

I love it about 2.28 with sound of the compressor... it's slightly irritating when on one, but when it's in miniature is hits the spot!I was wondering if one could record the platform p.a. but slightly garbled etc to prevent identification of the recorded station (if it differs).. it'd also make it easier to cut them short due to the rather unusual frequency of the trains!! Very nice modelling too.

The pantographs touch the overhead wire however electrical pickup is the usual method via the two tracks.
