Organic Dairyman: Director's Cut

This is a story about a third generation dairy farmer facing a critical choice: continue raising his herd of dairy cows practicing conventional farming, or switch over to an organic dairy operation. It took him 2 years to decide, but as he looks back upon that decision, he considers it the best decision he ever made. In this version of Organic Dairyman: Director's Cut, the original 2 part series was combined and re-edited to allow for a slower pacing that more faithfully matches the serene surroundings and the natural flow of the story line. For those film buffs out there, compare this version with the original parts 1 and 2, and tell us what you think. Nice story but you didn't mention what the cows eat in the winter and where you get it.

But they have had a happy life. Everyone dies but its what happened when you were alive that counts and they get to live how they are ment to.

Once dairy cows are too old to be commercially viable they are commonly sold to slaughter for hamburger meat. Look it up.

Where are all the calves? Pregnant, milking moms and no babies. Hmmm, oh yeah, they are sent off to the veal farms. Not nursing with their mothers, but yanked away at the first day of birth so the mothers can keep making milk for humans. Horrible!

Farmers keep old dairy cows? Most dairies are run as a business and are for profit. They don't just keep cows that don't serve a purpose. Sorry, the idea is nice though. Cows would make great pets!
