His reputation is built on his opposition to torture, but McCain voted against a bill to ban waterboarding, and then applauded President Bush for vetoing that ban. He later said that torture is OK when the CIA does it. By McCain's own logic, if the N. He enjoys government health care, but I seem to recall him enjoying another government's health care for 5 years (North Vietnam's). He introduced a cap-and-trade bill with a Democrat in Congress to dramatically limit greenhouse gases, while all Obama and Clinton have done is talk about it. He opposed the health care bill cause it raised taxes on smokers, who are disproportionately lower-income. Maybe think before you talk next time buddy.

He voted against the children's health care bill last year, then defended Bush's veto of the bill. Under Bill Clinton, the S&P 500 soared 210%. Since George Bush took office, the S&P 500 has gained 4%. That is not 4% per year. That is 4% over the entire 7+ years.We cannot afford another four years of George Bush economics under John McCain.
