Good tips, I use a few tablespoons of sugar ytoo, and will try the ketchup sause (normally I use apple cider vinegar). ANd i add the kasuri methi at the very end. sour cream can be used to sub for cream but you have to use more of it.

I just made this recipe and I was really surprised on how good it came out. I thought Sanjay was just exaggerating when he was saying how tasty this dish is, but he wasn't kidding. I wiped the pan clean with a piece of bread it was so good.

I don't know if you've ever tried 'American' food, but some of it's rather dull in comparison to Indian food. By American food I mean a homecooked meal, not the fast food stuff...And anyway, everyone likes to have something different now and then. However, I think too many Americans are scared off from trying Indian food because they think it'll be too spicy. I always leave out the hottest spices in these recipes.

Yes it did seem like a lot, but experience has shown me that quite a bit of salt and sugar goes into cooking great tasting food. After tasting, I used to repeat adding salt about four or five times until I got it just right. Now that I know how much it needs, I just throw in a bunch of salt like he did. |
