To tell the truth the song would not be any good if GM wasn't singing it. He just has such impeccable vocal technique, it's amazing.

GM is very melancholy in a lot of his music. Of all the artists ever, he has been one of the few that have managed to convey the deepest emotions of what he is trying to say. He is - basically - a musical genius.
