that an airbus a330, you can see the wingspan difference between this and the a320/a321/a319also the wingtip is wider

yep happened to me in a storm in Acapulco :) .... the man sitting in front of me collapsed :) ... I was not bothered at all but after working for an airline for years and flying so much, I think I would not be so comfortable if this happened today

I'm a pilot and I know that even if Crosswinds were 65mph (60kts), he wouldn't even attempt to land at Dublin and would just divert to Shannon. Thats an A330 aircraft, and x-wind maximum is 28kts (33mph) so its probably in that red-area.

Ah you poor thing! It can be a little daunting when you are already fearful as it is. Please just know, that they are no big deal, and completely standard procedure to a pilot. There is nothing too special about them, and may occur due to another plane being on the runway still, or at the pilots discretion if the approach isn't to his satisfaction. :) |
