So in a game lasting over 3 to 4 hours...6 minutes is playing time, they rest 95%.

If Rugby guys were so tough and athletic they'd move to America and would play in the NFL and in just a couple of years make enough money to be set for life. But of course they don't. "Gridiron" is the most sophisticated of all of the major world sports. It has many intricacies that I seriously doubt most non-Americans understand. You could take 22 of the best rugby players in the world and they would not beat a mediocre division I college "Gridiron" team.

American football plays during winter, where it's snowing, windy, and freezing. Those are very hard conditions to play in. Both are tough sports, but I do think the NFL has better athletes.

the reason they are heavy is because they work out hard in the weight room, american football consist of explosions every play and rugby is like a marathon, both are very hard, and i play football, if ur not in shape u cant compete

Whats unfunny?? did someone crack a joke??nfl Gridiron = There are 12 minutes actual average playing time in a game. 12 frickin minutes FFSSo Gridiron game lasts up to 3 1/2 hours long, with their being 12 minutes actual playing time that means they spend 95% resting. No wonder then 2005 tests showed in nfl Gridiron 56% clinically obese...97& overweight, Gridiron is a fat persons activity, it caters for fat people who cant play sport.

Rugby is for real men. AF is full of slack-jawed apes whose lips are too big to complete a full sentence. Let's ditch the pads and meet on the field.
